The Sutton Museum of Communications and History houses permanent exhibitions that shine the light on cook extraordinaire Jehane Benoît, the history of Sutton and an impressive collection of artifacts from the communications sector, including the first telephones, radios, phonographs, cameras and televisions.
The temporary exhibition C’est ici que je veux vivre (a nod to the song of the same name) pays tribute to Monique Leyrac and her extraordinary career. Discover the story of this wonderful singer and actress who chose to make Sutton her home after stepping down from the stage. The exhibition brings the memory of Monique Leyrac to life through a host of souvenirs, including a video about the artist.
From July 15 to October 11, 2021, visit the exhibition C’est ici que je veux vivre and discover the history of the remarkable singer and actress who made Sutton her home after retiring from the stage.
Discover the culinary legacy of Jehane Benoit, gourmet cook, writer, radio and television host, and resident of Sutton for more than 30 years.
The Museum boasts an impressive collection of artifacts from the communications sector, including the first telephones, radios, phonographs, cameras and televisions, and gives visitors a glimpse of Sutton’s past at the “General Store.”
Hours
Open Friday to Monday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., until Labor Day.
Open Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., from Labour Day to October 11.
The Sutton Museum of Communications and History is CLOSED in winter.
